CASE STUDY

The Krupnikoz distillery, which opened in February of this year, creates a unique handcrafted honey and spice-infused vodka amongst other liqueurs.

Krupnikoz is a new generation of spirit. An eclectic mix of botanicals creating a mouth-watering sumptuous taste like no other spirit in the market today.

Krupnikoz is a truly original concept. Inspired by a 16th century honey and spiced alcoholic drink. Krupnik or Krupnikas is a Vodka infused with honey and spices, simply filtered and served.

Fortunately Harkwell was able to provide a full range of label solutions to suit the brand. We felt that it was important to produce a label with a one-of a kind artisan appearance. We felt we could achieve a high quality foil effect by printing the design on Silver PP to create a copper metallic which would showcase the incredibly intricate artwork elements such as the bold clockwork bee that dominates each label in the range. The label also displays gradients and vignettes of black to portray a metallic effect on the cogs. Finally we have used a flood matt varnish 1000 anilox with a tactile screen spot varnish to enhance the honeycomb effect on each.

The label solution we have provided reinforces the brand and catches the eye of the consumer.

CASE STUDY

Wisden approached Harkwell Labels with the desire to create limited addition packaging with premium effect. The brief stated that each can would be an item for the cricket enthusiast to keep and continue to collect the full set of 48 cans. It was decided to feature all of the players in years gone by dating back to 1986.

The idea was to capture the audience and give the label a limited edition, one of a kind high end luxury packaging appeal. The perfect for gift for the cricket enthusiast.

We decided that we would use SmartStream Designer for this project. We used the sequential element of the software to access the image data in any order so that the cricketer imagery would be placed in the same position on each label but displaying a different cricketer.

The labels were printed on HP Indigo 6900 and finished on the ABG Digicon with a matt laminate which we feel has given the label a luxurious touch.

Each can design features a different Wisden Cricketer of the Year and the gift pack also comes with six collectible Wisden Ale beer mats, each also featuring a different Wisden Cricketer of the Year.

The client was extremely pleased with the labels and sold out within days of the launch. Ready for the next order.
